Approximately 40 members of the club who took part in the Scavenger Hunt would especially like to thank you, Cliff, and your committee for making it such a fun day.  We realize a lot of work and time went into planning this event and I know I speak for all of us—-we all had a great time (even though some of us got very lost, even our GPS’s were fooled!).  The picnic afterward had lots of good food as we all ate our frustrations of the day away.  Great job, Cliffy and crew….Carol R.

Tuesday, September 23rd..Birthday Babies Dinner...September Birthday babies started with a bang, not really a bang, more like an 8 foot fire and that’s because Howie selected Samurai Hibachi in Huntington. The fire was part of the show along with  catching pieces of zucchini tossed by the chef into each of our mouths.  Not one of the 13 of us caught it on the first attempt.  There were some of us that helped by using our hands to catch it and guide it into our mouths.  But what happens at the Hibachi stays at the Hibachi.  Thanks Howie, it was a great evening.

Found….an extra beach umbrella, rainbow color at Carol S.’s Beach Party on August 16.  Please call Marie B. to arrange getting it back.

On a sad note...One of the folks I traveled with in Kenya knew that I was from LISSA and she mentioned that Jane Niemas Abbenda had passed away.  I understand that she was a member from many years ago.  She had married and was living in Florida.  Our condolences to her family and her LISSA friends….Pam
